Alcohol-Free Week 2010
Welcome to the Alcohol-Free Week website.
Alcohol-Free Week aims to encourage you to become more aware of your drinking habits and to help you reduce the amount you drink if you are taking too much.
The fourth Alcohol-Free Week is launched on Wednesday 17th February 2010.
During Alcohol-Free Week, we're hoping you will give up alcohol for one day, a weekend or, if you're up to it, the whole week.
This will give you a chance to test how much of a role alcohol plays in your life and how easy it is, or not, to do without.
We're hoping that, whether you give up for a day, a weekend or a week, you'll use the opportunity to take stock of when you drink alcohol, why you drink, and how much you drink.
Our website will offer you facts about alcohol, how it affects your body and your life, tips on how to drink wisely, suggestions on alternatives to drinking alcohol and a chance to win a case of XA non-alcoholic cocktails every day during Alcohol-Free Week
Alcohol-Free Week is supported by the NHS Drinking Responsibly Project, the national charity FAS Aware that highlights the dangers of alcohol in pregnancy, Manchester Drug and Alcohol Strategy Team, and Manchester City Council.
